Ultraproct (suppositories and ointment): Supply issue
Because of delays at the factory where Ultraproct is made, these products will go out of stock later in 2025.

Because of a delays at the factory where Ultraproct is made, it will be unavailable in the second half of 2025.
The active ingredients in Ultraproct are fluocortolone caproate with fluocortolone pivalate and cinchocaine.
The supplier AFT has informed us that:
- the suppository (Pharmacode: 257478) is likely to go out of stock in May 2025
- the ointment (Pharmcode: 257451) is likely to be out of stock in September 2025.

Alternative product available: Proctosedyl
We have received clinical advice that Proctosedyl may a suitable funded alternative. It is available as both a suppository and an ointment.
Once stock runs out, people who use Ultraproct will need a new prescription because Proctosedyl has different active ingredients. Those ingredients are hydrocortisone with cinchocaine.
