Silver sulfadiazine (Flamazine): Supply issue resolved
Stock of Flamazine brand sulfadiazine silver is back in stock.
18 September 2024 Update
Flamzine is back in stock, the supplier is filling back orders. It may take another 1 to 2 weeks for supply to reach pharmacies around the motu.

This issue affects both sizes of Flamazine cream. Noting only the 50 g tube is funded and contracted for community pharmacy.

An alternative was funded from 1 July 2024. It should be available from the supplier by mid to late July 2024. It is not Medsafe approved. (We understand that hospitals are sourcing an alternative themselves.)
