PHARMAC staff who identify as being disabled

OIA response

21 June 2021

Dear [name and contact details withheld]

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Thank you for your request dated 5 June 2021 under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) for information relating to the number of staff members employed by PHARMAC who identify as being disabled. You requested:

The total number of staff members employed by Pharmac who identify as being disabled.

Please provide data for the last five years - broken down by year - specifying a) the total number of staff members employed by Pharmac and b) the total number who identify as being disabled.

Please provide separate figures specifying the total number of a) contractors employed by Pharmac and b) contractors who identify as disabled over the same five year period.

PHARMAC does not currently, and has not previously, collected information on whether an employee identifies as being disabled. As such, we have not provided any information in response to this request as we do not hold the information and it is not held by any other department (section 18(g) of the OIA).

Please note you have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(3) of the OIA to an Ombudsman, to seek an investigation and review of our decision.

We are making our information more freely available, so we now publish selected OIA responses (excluding personal details) on our website. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about this.

Yours sincerely
