REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 

Thank you for your email of 18 March 2020, in which you have asked for claims data for Fentanyl 100mcg/2mL ampoules (i.e. Fentanyl inj 50 microgram per ml, 2 ml ampoules). 

PHARMAC has interpreted your request as being for data about hospital purchases of funded Fentanyl inj 50 microgram per ml, 2 ml ampoules, by District Health Board hospitals, as well as publicly funded claims in the community.  The data will therefore not include private purchases of Fentanyl ampoules (such as by private hospitals).   

The purchasing and claims data for funded Fentanyl inj 50 microgram per ml, 2 ml ampoules, is attached in Appendix One.  We advise that not all data is available yet for January and February 2020 so these months have not been included in this data set.
