Summary: What's funded for who?
A snapshot of our key decisions.
Continuous glucose monitors
We've fully funded the following standalone CGMs:
- Dexcom One+
- Freestyle Libre 2 (until 1 May 2026)
- Freestyle Libre 2 Plus (from 1 May 2025)
These are funded for everyone with type 1 diabetes or type 3c diabetes.
We have fully funded three CGMs to work with insulin pumps:
- Dexcom G6
- Dexcom G7
- Freestyle Libre 3+
These are funded for people with funded access to an insulin pump.

Insulin pumps
We have fully funded two insulin pumps and the consumable products you need to make them work.
From 1 October 2024, the following are funded:
- Tandem t:slim x2 with Basal-IQ or Control-IQ algorithm and consumables
- mylife YpsoPump with CamAPS FX algorithm and consumables
They are funded for everyone with type 1 diabetes or type 3c diabetes whose diabetes specialist team think:
- an insulin pump is right for and
- will benefit from an automated insulin delivery (AID) system.
You no longer need certain HbA1c levels to qualify.
