A snapshot of our key decisions.
Continuous glucose monitors
We're funding two standalone CGMs:
- The Dexcom One+
- The Freestyle Libre 2
These will be funded for everyone with type 1 diabetes or type 3c diabetes. You will be able to choose either of these CGM devices.
We are funding three CGMs to work with insulin pumps:
- Dexcom G6
- Dexcom G7
- Freestyle Libre 3+
These are funded for people with funded access to an insulin pump.

Insulin pumps
We are funding two insulin pumps and the consumable products you need to make them work.
From 1 October 2024, the following will be funded:
- Tandem t:slim x2 with Basal-IQ or Control-IQ algorithm and consumables
- mylife YpsoPump with CamAPS FX algorithm and consumables
They will be funded for everyone with type 1 diabetes or type 3c diabetes whose diabetes specialist team think:
- an insulin pump is right for and
- will benefit from an automated insulin delivery (AID) system.
You no longer need certain HbA1c levels to qualify.
