Clarification on bundle proposals – RFP for supply of various vaccines

PHARMAC has received a request in relation to this RFP from a supplier for clarification regarding PHARMAC’s willingness to consider bundle proposals up to a maximum of three bids with additional discounting for any other vaccine provided. In order to ensure all potential providers have access to the same information here is the clarification provided:

• PHARMAC would not consider a proposal comprising three bundled Vaccines with Sole Supply Status, plus discounts on further Vaccines conditional on acceptance of this bundle, as a proposal under clause 3.1(b) of the RFP document. Such a proposal could be made under clause 3.5 of the RFP document which permits other types of proposals (subject to clause 3.4).
• Clauses 3.1 and 3.2 set out the proposals which PHARMAC is particularly interested in receiving. We therefore recommend that if you are proposing other types of proposal you also consider making proposals as outlined under clauses 3.1 and 3.2.
• The note under 3.1 regarding the need to submit at least one individual proposal applies to any bundle proposal submitted in response to the RFP.
