Discontinuation of Medtech Decision Support Tools for childhood asthma and acne

Pharmac has been contracting with BPAC Clinical Solutions for the childhood asthma and acne (including isotretinoin) assessment and management modules. This contract ends on 30 June 2024, which means from 1 July 2024 these two modules will no longer be available.  

Pharmac has explored other options to provide decision support for prescribers for childhood asthma and acne.

Moving forward, we suggest primary care prescribers refer to their local HealthPathways for up-to-date clinical guidelines related to childhood asthma and acne (which includes guidelines for primary practice when prescribing isotretinoin).
