Trial of electronic portal for bidding on Pharmac’s annual tender
Pharmac’s annual tender e-portal is now available for suppliers to trial.
What we’re doing?
Before the e-portal goes ‘live’ with the release of the final 2023/24 Invitation To Tender (ITT), Pharmac is providing suppliers with the opportunity to trial and practise using the e-portal.
During the trial period suppliers will be able to register their company in the e-portal (if they have not already done so) and view, enter and submit tender bids on a practice tender to learn how the e-portal system works. The bids that suppliers submit during this trial period will not be considered as actual bids. The 2022/23 ITT pharmaceuticals have been used for the purposes of the practice tender. Pharmac strongly encourages all suppliers to trial the portal as it has been updated for this tender cycle.
Pharmac has been working with In-Tend to update the supplier portal. This trial gives suppliers the opportunity to become familiar with the new system and understand the process of bidding so that they are ready to respond when the 2023/24 ITT is released.
The practice tender will remain open until midnight (New Zealand time) on Monday 30th October 2023.

Please note this is an old user guide and we are working to update it. However, any changes to the guide should be minimal.
Release of the 2023/24 ITT
New suppliers that intend to bid on the 2023/24 ITT will need to register their company to gain access to the e-portal. Suppliers who have participated in past Pharmac tenders (from 2016/17 onwards) can use the same account as used previously.
