Thank you for your request dated 2 June 2022 under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) for information relating to the Pharmac Independent Review. You requested: 

  • Any written response from PHARMAC to the Minister of Health regarding the PHARMAC final review
  • Any notes or minutes from any meetings held between PHARMAC and the Minister of Health regarding the PHARMAC final review
  • Any reports, briefs, memos, or aide memoires provided by PHARMAC to the Minister of Health regarding the PHARMAC final review

 Where you have requested information regarding the ‘PHARMAC final review’, we have understood this to mean the Final Report of the independent Pharmac Review(external link) (Pharmac Review Final Report and Executive Summary | pharmacreview.health.govt.nz).

Notes or minutes from any meetings held between Pharmac and the Minister of Health regarding the Pharmac Review Final Report

There were no meetings held between Pharmac and the Minister of Health regarding the Final Report of the Pharmac Review. Therefore, we have not provided copies of any notes or minutes for meetings between Pharmac and the Minister of Health regarding the Final Report of the Pharmac Review as they do not exist (section 18(e) of the OIA). 

Please note you have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(3) of the OIA to an Ombudsman, to seek an investigation and review of our decision. 

Reports, briefs, memos, or aide memoires provided by Pharmac to the Minister of Health regarding the Pharmac Review Final Report

Other than the briefing of 21 March 2022, as noted above and provided with this response, there are no other reports, briefs, memos, or aide memoires from Pharmac to the Minister of Health regarding the Pharmac Review Final Report.
