The supplier of permethrin has been closely managing stock due to significant demand increases over winter.

There have been reports of wholesalers limiting supply of the following product.

Stock situation
The supplier has been working actively to ensure permethrin remains available in response to significant demand increases for this product over winter.
We have had reports that some wholesalers may be limiting supply to pharmacies. We can reassure people that the supplier has stock available. We advise pharmacies to contact their wholesalers directly if they are experiencing issues with ordering.
Pharmac and the supplier have been working hard to avoid an out of stock. Regular shipments are arriving and being released.
Ivermectin
Ivermectin is used as a scabies treatment where permethrin has failed or can't be used. Ivermectin remains available. The supplier and Pharmac are closely monitoring stock levels.
