Medicine and medical device supply
There is no need to stockpile medicines. Medicine supply chains are secure and pharmacies remain open throughout all alert levels. We ask prescribers to prescribe normally and encourage patients not to stockpile medicines.
PHARMAC and suppliers are all working to minimise any impacts of the general supply chain and manufacturing disruptions caused by COVID-19.
Other than some funded vaccines, PHARMAC itself does not purchase or hold stocks of any medicine.
