Decision to list medical devices supplied by Obex Medical Limited

Hospital devices Decision

PHARMAC is pleased to announce approval of the amendment to the non-exclusive listing of a range of medical devices in Part III of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 November 2019, through an agreement with Obex Medical Limited.

The devices are in the following categories:

  • orthopaedic implants and associated products (“Orthopaedic Products”);
  • respiratory equipment and consumables (“Respiratory Care Products”);
  • endomechanical and electrosurgical products (Endomechanical and Electrosurgical Products"; and
  • non-invasive ventilation products (“NIV Products”).

DHBs will be able to continue to purchase other suppliers’ brands of Orthopaedic Products, Respiratory Care Products, endomechanical and electrosurgical products, and NIV Products as the agreement is not for sole supply.
