  • Ivoclar Vivadent’s dental and oral health and sterilisation and decontamination equipment and associated consumables being listed in Part III of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 March 2023 under a national agreement that all Te Whatu Ora Hospitals may purchase under (“Agreement”); and

Details about this decision

Pharmac has previously issued Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”) for:

The RFPs were for non-exclusive national agreements for listing on the Pharmaceutical Schedule.

After completing the evaluation processes, and consulting on the provisional agreement with Geistlich and Ivoclar Vivadent, Pharmac has decided to list Geistlich’s dental and oral health products and Ivoclar Vivadent’s dental and oral health products, and sterilisation and decontamination equipment and associated consumables in Part III of Section H of the Pharmaceutical Schedule from 1 March 2023.

Te Whatu Ora Hospitals can continue to choose which dental and oral health products, and sterilisation and decontamination equipment and associated consumables they procure, including those from other suppliers. Te Whatu Ora Hospitals that procure dental and oral health products, and sterilisation and decontamination equipment and associated consumables from Geistlich and Ivoclar Vivadent must do so under the terms and conditions, including pricing, in the agreement from 1 March 2023.

The list of products will be available on Pharmac’s website from 1 March 2023, in both PDF and Excel spreadsheet formats.
