REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 

Thank you for your request dated 3 May 2021 under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) for information relating to the pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23). You requested: 

The number of 23PPV doses distributed since the programme began in 2006. 

Please note, we only hold distribution data from 1 November 2013. Please find the data we hold for PPV23 included below. 

As PHARMAC took over responsibility for the National Immunisation Schedule from the Ministry of Health in 2012 and regional vaccine distribution from 2014, we have decided to transfer your request to the Ministry (under section 14 of the OIA) to provide data for doses distributed prior to November 2013. 

Please note you have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(3) of the OIA to an Ombudsman, to seek an investigation and review of our decision.
