REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) for information relating to NPPA B medicines.  You asked for:

• which medicines have been paid by Sector Services to pharmacy using the ICPSA NPPA service B[*] calculation (OR the medicine costs for NPPA B in 2019 and 2020 in total)
• the dispensing volumes in 2019 and 2020
• the number of pharmacies dispensing these medicines
• the DHBs where these pharmacies are located
• the number of pharmacies dispensing per each DHB

The information on total NPPA B medicine costs, and dispensing volumes, is listed in the table below.

Unfortunately we were not able to produce reliable data on the number of pharmacies in each DHB dispensing these medicines. Therefore, this information is declined on the basis that it does not exist in the form requested.
