PHARMAC helps New Zealanders live healthier and better lives, every day.
Over the last ten years, an extra 800,000 New Zealanders have received a funded medication.
That means 80% of New Zealanders receive funded medication and in the last 10 years, the number of funded prescriptions has increased by 12.5 million.
That’s an average of 10 prescriptions per person in New Zealand!
180 new medicines have been funded in the past decade.
Access has widened for 273 funded medicines and over 850,000 have benefited from our funding decisions which means more New Zealanders than ever are getting the medicines they need, every day.
