Klean Prep: Discontinuation
Klean Prep is being discontinued globally (Pharmacode 790753). We are listing a replacement Plenvu (Pharmacode 2569671) on 1 May 2023.
Affected product
Norgine (the supplier) is discontinuing Klean Prep (macrogol 3350 + potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium sulfate) – Pharmacode: 790753. This is a global issue.
We anticipate supplies of Klean Prep will run out during August 2023. Klean Prep will remain listed until 1 April 2024 to allow time for all stock to be used and claimed for.

Alternative product
We are listing Plenvu (Pharmacode: 2569671) from 1 May 2023 as an alternative. We secured Plenvu through our annual tender process. This listing provides continuity of supply for people where the other funded options may not be suitable.

Preparation instructions |
The first dose is supplied in sachet 1. Dose 2 is supplied in two sachets, sachet A and sachet B. Each dose is made up by dissolving the sachet(s) with 500 mL of water. An additional 500 mL of clear fluid must be taken with each dose. Each 500 mL dose and 500 mL additional clear fluids should be taken over 60 minutes. |
Each sachet is dissolved in 1 L of water. Usual dose is 4 sachets taken at a rate of 250 mL every 10 to 15 minutes. |
