Proposal to remove ‘stat’ dispensing from various pharmaceuticals not proceeding

Medicines Decision

PHARMAC would like to advise all interested parties that we will not be progressing a proposal to remove the ‘three months dispensed all-at-once’ (‘stat’) dispensing rule from various pharmaceuticals.

The proposal was the subject of a consultation letter dated 9 January 2015.

As notified on 16 February 2015, a decision on the proposal was delayed while we considered various issues raised in consultation responses. After carefully considering a range of factors, including the consultation responses, we have decided not to progress the proposal at this time. This means that stat dispensing will continue to apply to all the pharmaceuticals included in the proposal.
