REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Thank you for your request dated 17 March 2021 under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). You asked:

How many people are currently using tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole, letrozole and exemestane) in NZ?

Please find the number of distinct people dispensed tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors detailed in the tables below.

Please note:

  • Table 1 provides a sum of distinct people dispensed medicines per month. People may be counted in multiple months.
  • Table 2 provides a total of the distinct people dispensed medicines from July to December 2020. People may have had multiple dispensings during this timeframe but are only counted once.

We trust that this information answers your queries. We are making our information more freely available, so we will now publish selected OIA responses (excluding personal details) on our website. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about this.

Yours sincerely
